Copernicus Data Hubs
In the framework of the Copernicus space observation program, implemented by the European Space Agency (ESA) on behalf of the European Union, the data produced by the Sentinel satellites are made available to the various user communities through a comprehensive horizontal service entitled ” The Sentinels Rolling Archive Products User Access, Operations, Maintenance and Evolutions “.
GRNET contributes to the provision of this service with storage infrastructure, while the National Observatory of Athens is in charge of the operational functioning of the services. SERCO leads the overall coordination of the service.

GÉANT
GRNET is present in global networking for research and education, representing Greece in GÉANT. GÉANT is Europe’s leading collaboration on network and related infrastructure and services for the benefit of research and education, contributing to Europe’s economic growth and competitiveness.
It is owned by its core membership of 36 European national research and education network (NREN) organizations and NORDUnet, which participates on behalf of five Nordic NRENs. Associates include commercial organizations and multi-national research infrastructures and projects.
PRACE-RI
GRNET participates in PRACE Research Infrastructure (PRACE-RI). PRACE is established as an international not-for-profit association (aisbl) with seat in Brussels. It has 25 member countries (October 2012, see here) whose representative organizations create a pan-European supercomputing infrastructure, providing access to computing and data management resources and services for large-scale scientific and engineering applications at the highest performance level.
EGI.eu
EGI is a federated e-Infrastructure set up to provide advanced computing services for research and innovation.
Vision: Researchers from all disciplines have easy, integrated and open access to the advanced scientific computing capabilities, resources and expertise needed to collaborate and to carry out data/compute intensive science and innovation.
Mission: Create and deliver open solutions for science and research infrastructures by federating digital capabilities, resources and expertise between communities and across national boundaries.

Euro-IX
The European Internet Exchange Association (Euro-IX) gathers 84 IXPs around the world. It was formed in May 2001 with the intention to develop, strengthen and improve the Internet Exchange Point (IXP) community. A number of IXPs recognised a need to combine their resources in order to coordinate technical standards, develop common procedures, share and publish statistics and other useful information. This would in turn give all interested parties a better insight into the world of IXPs.
ΕUDAT CDI
The EUDAT Collaborative Data Infrastructure (or CDI) consists of a network of nodes that provide a range of services for for upload and retrieval, identification and description, movement, replication and data integrity, plus some additional services that are needed to operate the infrastructure. The nodes are essentially data centres (or computer centres) that have a data repository and that provide software services to manage the stored data – for example, storing data, searching for data, or adding metadata to the data. In an EUDAT context, these centres are known as service providers. A data centre that (primarily) serves a specific research discipline (like DKRZ, the German Climate Computing Centre, which supports climate research) is known as a thematic service provider, while a centre that provides services for different research communities (such as the CSC-IT Center for Science in Finland, which supports research in a wide range of areas) is known as a generic service provider. <Many of the largest scientific data centres within Europe are service providers within the context of EUDAT.
ARIADNE
GRNET is member of the ARIADNE foundation. ARIADNE foundation is a non-for-profit organization based in Leuven, which aims at promoting the sharing and reuse of educational resources as well as creating technological infrastructure for homogenization and concentration of educational metadata repositories.
