GRNET’s staff hold in the majority a PhD, Masters and University Degree title. The development and operation of GRNET infrastructures and services as well as the administrative and financial functions of the company are coordinated and supported by specialized staff with significant experience and know how in relevant areas. GRNET’s Human Capital constitutes the most valuable asset of the company, contributing substantially to the reinforcement of GRNET’s dynamic and continuous progress.

The concept of gender equality translates into equal rights, freedom and opportunities for all genders, for the purpose of promoting assessment, recognition and participation on equal terms in the entire range of public and private life. In recent year, such concept has been in the center of attention and has become an important goal for companies and organisations at an international level.

GRNET S.A. – the National Infrastructures for Research and Technology, addresses this issue diligently, taking into account the importance of companies’ contribution towards a democratic and inclusive society, as well as the importance of diversity – especially in terms of gender – ensuring companies development in a balanced way with regards to addressing this very sensitive issue.GRNET’s Gender Equality Action Plan presents an overview of the overal concept and how gender is conceived within the company, with the aim of strengthening equality throughout all company’s projects and activities. For GRNET, gender equality policy formulation and implementation is of great importance for the company’s operations. We believe it contributes to social and economic well-being, it reduces the possibility of a gender related harassment, strengthens employees connection to the company, enhancing employees’ and partners’ well-being as well as overall company effectiveness.Gender equality is an integral part of GRNET’s company policies and business plan. The Gender Equality Action Plan spans over all areas of GRNET’s business activity and applies to all staff, regardless of gender identity, employment relationship, position and ocupying role in the company.

GRNET’s Gender Equality Action Plan forms an integral part of the organisation’s operational goal. Its main purpose is to set guiding principles for the implementation of gender equality goals and set accountability measures for all corporate structures, operations and project outlines. GRNET will benefit from the adoption and implementation of the Gender Equality Action Plan as follows:– drafting the plan, will set and prioritise possible gender gaps, broadening internal consultation and awareness;– criteria and guidelines setting will enable the company to comply with the existing legal framework and to evaluate gender equality as an elementary factor in all its operations.GRNET is committed to promoting gender equality in its operations.
