GRNET participated in the new Mobile Driving Licence (mDL) interoperability remote test, which officially launched this week across the European Union and Ukraine.

This cross-border test brought together around 30 participants from across Europe who evaluated digital wallets integrated with mDL authentication certificates. Throughout the week, each participant connected with as many relying parties as possible, exploring interoperability in real-world scenarios.

To support participants, a dedicated helpdesk was available daily, coordinated by the organisers to provide technical assistance and ensure smooth progress during the testing phase.

Through this activity, GRNET continues to contribute to the development of a secure, interoperable, and user-friendly digital identity ecosystem in Europe, aligned with the goals of the evolving eIDAS framework.
