The project "Intangible digital card to support tourism – North Evia Pass 2025" aims to boost domestic tourism demand and provide financial support for tourism activities in the areas of Northern Evia that were affected by the deadly fires of August 2021.

Specifically, it includes a plan to support tourism in the above-mentioned affected areas through the use of a digital debit card, modeled after the North Evia-Samos Pass and Thessaly Evros Pass 2024/2025 cards.

The virtual debit card, which will be provided to every adult natural person/beneficiary, will contain a specific amount available to cover transportation, catering, and accommodation expenses at tourist businesses in the above areas.

This amount will be credited to the virtual debit card, which will be issued specifically for this purpose by a credit institution or financial organization, through the special application of the Single Digital Portal of Public Administration (gov.gr).

The above financial assistance will amount to one hundred and fifty (150) euros for the Municipality of Mantoudi – Limni – Agia Anna and one hundred and fifty (150) euros for the Municipality of Istiaia – Aidipsos.

The overall project consists of the following two sub-projects:

• Subproject 1: Granting of subsidies to beneficiaries of the action to cover transportation, catering, and accommodation expenses in the areas of Northern Evia, with the aim of providing financial support for tourism activity in these areas.

• Sub-project 2: Support services for the implementation of the Action, which includes all the actions required for the analysis of requirements, the recording of specifications, the implementation, installation, operation, and support of the Information System (IS) that supports the application process for the issuance of digital debit cards to beneficiaries, as well as support actions required for the successful implementation of the project. Sub-project 2 will be implemented independently by the National  Infrastructures for Research and Technology – GRNET S.A.

The action will continue for a third year in 2025, with the program covering two destinations:

a) Municipality of Istiaia-Aidipsos, b) Municipality of Mantoudi-Limni-Agia Anna, as well as in two calendar phases: a) Phase 1 – November 2025, b) Phase 2 – September-October-November 2026.

There are 5,566 beneficiaries who will be issued with an intangible digital debit card to visit the above-mentioned areas, boosting local tourism and wider economic activity. Citizens will be able to use the digital debit card until the last day of the selected phase for accommodation, dining, and local transportation expenses.

Specifically, for 2025-2026, the following will be issued:

• 2,783 cards worth €150 for the Municipality of Mantoudi-Limni-Agia Anna (Phase 1: 1,392, Phase 2: 1,391) and
• 2,783 cards worth €150 for the Municipality of Istiaia-Aidipsos (Phase 1: 1,392, Phase 2: 1,391)
