Description

The project "Expansion of an integrated application management service for the granting of housing allowance to students of higher education", emphasizes on the expansion and upgrade of the Student Housing Allowance service.

The main objectives of the project are the upgrade of the operation of the electronic service for the management of the housing allowance, the simplification and improvement of the application process and the granting of the housing allowance to eligible students.

The aim of the project is to provide a better service experience to students of the Academic Institutions and the Higher Ecclesiastical Academies of the country.

More specifically, the project includes:

  • the optimization of the submission and assessment processes for the benefit of end users,
  • the ability to automatically request for certificates (where required),
  • supporting beneficiaries and Institutions during the application the submission and assessment stage, by operating  a specialized Help Desk,
  • the confirmation and assurance of the due operation of the system,
  • compliance with the new GDPR Regulation,
  • the ability to export staff reports and statistics.

The outcome of the project shall be the implementation and improvement of the process of submitting an application, assessing an application and granting a housing benefit by eliminating bureaucracy, enhancing transparency and relieving those involved from the administrative burden.

The project is implemented within the framework of the O.P. "Public Sector Reform" and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and National resources.
