AIConform aims to automate compliance with EU regulations (such as the AI Act, the NIS2 Directive, and eIDAS 2.0).
The project will convert legal obligations into digitally verifiable data, making things easier for businesses and public bodies. In terms of its technological infrastructure, the project involves the use of machine-readable standards, personal data protection technologies (encryption, differential privacy), and the integration of the EUDI Wallet for secure authentication.
During the project, a pilot application will be developed, and the project’s results will be tested in real-world conditions in the sectors of public administration, manufacturing, and energy.
Achieving the project’s objectives will offer multiple benefits, including a reduction in reporting time by at least 30% and an improvement in reporting accuracy of over 95%. Furthermore, the project plans to create an open-source toolkit for use by SMEs and public organizations, as well as to train over 200 professionals.
GRNET’s main role involves the following actions:
Project Management & Coordination - GRNET will support the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance & Artificial Intelligence in the operational coordination of tasks that require ongoing technical monitoring.
AI/NLP Compliance Framework & Knowledge Graph - The contribution of GRNET aims to strengthen the Ministry’s capacity to implement and validate key technical components and integrations and to support technical documentation and readiness for pilot deployment.
Pilot Demonstrations - GRNET will support the technical activities for the integration and development of pilot programs under the Ministry’s responsibility.
Data Governance, Privacy, Trust Services & Interoperability - GRNET’s contribution involves supporting the Ministry in carrying out technical tasks related to secure interoperability and trust-enhancing services, supporting implementation-level activities that must align with robust operational practices and technical compliance constraints.
Dissemination, Exploitation, Training & Policy Engagement - GRNET will support the Ministry by ensuring that the project results and points of engagement with stakeholders are technically accurate, user-friendly, and delivered with operational maturity.
