GRNET Authentication and authorization Infrastructure (AAI) Federation allows different organizations that span across the country to cooperate in the assignment of access rights for bi-institutional applications, such as access to digital libraries or wireless Wi-Fi networks. Through the infrastructure, users of the Federation gain access to a wide range of electronic services, with ensured security and confidentiality of their personal data. Delos Federation consists of 57 institutions of the academic, research and educational community in Greece.

At the same time, via GRNET participation in the GÉANT pan-European research and educational network, information flow and the sharing of services is feasible among GRNET users and users of other national research and education networks, in a secure and reliable manner through the GÉANT eduGAIN service.
