2025: Entering the Final Year of Potential

As we step into 2025, the Potential Consortium begins its most critical phase: the testing of six use cases designed to meet the highest standards of security, usability, and interoperability. This milestone marks a significant step toward the realization of a unified digital identity framework for Europe.

Key Priorities for 2025

  1. Interoperability Testing: Rigorous evaluations to validate cross-border and cross-service functionality.
  2. Collaborative Events: Knowledge-sharing initiatives to close gaps and accelerate testing best practices.
  3. Delivering Results: Ensuring compliance with the highest technical and governance standards to prepare for a harmonized digital identity landscape.

Save the Date

February 3–4, 2025: The Consortium will host a major interoperability testing event in Poland.
This event will bring together wallet issuers and Relying Parties to simulate the emission and reception of PID data, marking a pivotal milestone in the testing phase.

2025 is a year of collaboration, innovation, and determination. By working together, we aim to advance toward a secure, interoperable digital identity framework that will set global standards for excellence.

Stay tuned for updates as we progress through this transformative journey.
