On 29–30 October 2026, GRNET took part in the European Commission’s EUDI Wallets Launchpad at The Egg in Brussels, as a partner of the Large-Scale Pilot Aptitude. The second edition of the Launchpad brought together 550 participants from 27 countries: Member State wallet teams, the Large-Scale Pilots Aptitude and WE BUILD, mDL4EU, certification bodies, relying parties and issuers. Over two days, they took part in testing sessions, live demos, workshops, keynotes and panels.
Together with the GRNET team, Panos Louridas, Director of GRNET’s Research & Development Directorate, staffed the Aptitude booth over both days, meeting stakeholders from across the EUDI Wallet ecosystem.
On the first day, GRNET and the University of the Aegean presented “One Journey, One Wallet” in the Auditorium demo session “Travel & Mobility”. In this joint Aptitude / WE BUILD showcase, Petros Kavassalis and Nikolaos Triantafyllou from the University of the Aegean demonstrated how the EUDI Wallet can connect the different moments of a European journey.
GRNET leads Aptitude’s marketing, communication and dissemination activities and in this role it contributed to the co-creation workshop “EUDI Wallets communication campaigns”. The workshop explored how to streamline messaging, shape the media mix and prepare for crisis management as Member States get ready to communicate about their wallets. Artemis Psarianou, Head of the Marketing & Communications Department at GRNET, Vasiliki Tomazou and Elisavet Maniou from GRNET presented the results of the messaging workshop held at Aptitude’s 2nd Board of Beneficiaries in Milan, where partners worked together on messages for each of the project’s use cases.
GRNET also took part in the “EUDI Wallets Interoperability testing session” with the Gov.gr Wallet, alongside the national wallet teams of other
countries. Filippos Feizidis and Giorgos Fourtounis represented GRNET in the session, where wallet implementers assessed the readiness of their solutions.
Aptitude is testing the EUDI Wallet in four use cases: Digital Travel Credentials, Smart Ticketing & Check-in, the Mobile Vehicle Registration Certificate and Payments with Strong Customer Authentication. More about Aptitude’s participation in the Launchpad is available on the project’s website.
More information about the event is available on the EUDI Wallets Launchpad 2026 page.
