GRNET participates in the European myHealth@myHands project, an ambitious initiative that aims to transform digital healthcare across the European Union by 2030 by empowering citizens with secure, user-centric access to their health data.

The project represents an important step towards a more connected European digital health ecosystem, supporting the EU’s vision for interoperable, secure and citizen-centred healthcare services.

By enabling secure online access to medical records, myHealth@myHands seeks to give all EU citizens greater control over their personal health information and simplify the way they manage their healthcare. Citizens will be able to determine who can access their health data while benefiting from personalised digital health services designed around their needs.

Within the project, GRNET is responsible for developing the core infrastructure that will support the health data ecosystem and enable cross-border health data exchange. GRNET will also contribute to the integration and validation of individual health data elements and the design of the citizen-facing interface, ensuring an accessible and user-oriented digital experience. In addition, GRNET actively participates in the overall management of the project.

For Greece, participation in the project represents an important opportunity to further strengthen the country’s digital health infrastructure and align it with the latest European standards for interoperability and secure health data exchange. By contributing to the development of next-generation digital health services, the project supports the modernisation of public healthcare, enhances cross-border healthcare capabilities for Greek citizens, and reinforces Greece’s active role in shaping Europe’s digital health landscape.
