GRNET at the Global Innovation Summit 2026

GRNET participated in the Global Innovation Summit 2026, held on 6 May 2026 at Messe Basel, Switzerland.

Organised by Eureka’s Swiss Chair, the Global Innovation Summit 2026 brought together nearly 1.000 participants from more than 50 countries, including representatives from research organisations, businesses, innovation agencies, and public authorities. The event focused on fostering international collaboration, exploring innovation funding opportunities, and strengthening partnerships across the global innovation ecosystem.

GRNET participated in the summit as part of the official Greek delegation coordinated by the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of Greece in Switzerland, alongside Hellenic BioCluster-HBio, the Hellenic Chip Competence Center and Athena Research Center, collectively showcasing the dynamism and international outreach of Greece’s innovation and research ecosystem.

During the event, GRNET showcased its strategic role in advancing Greece’s digital transformation through cutting-edge digital infrastructures and services supporting key sectors such as public administration, research, and health, including PHAROS AI Factory and the new supercomputer “DAEDALUS”. PHAROS was presented as a flagship national initiative designed to support trustworthy and human-centric AI innovation by bringing together advanced infrastructure, data and expertise within a collaborative European ecosystem, while DAEDALUS will serve as its core computing platform for the development of advanced AI applications.

The summit highlighted Greece’s growing presence in the European innovation and AI ecosystem, fostering new opportunities for international cooperation and technological advancement.
