On 18 March 2026, GRNET had the pleasure of hosting at its premises a high-level strategic meeting with representatives of the Finnish Digital and Population Data Services Agency.
The meeting enabled a substantive exchange of best practices on topics of shared strategic interest, including digitalisation governance models, the role of key/base registries, and the development of the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) and the development of AI Factories.
Discussions also covered interoperability, Artificial Intelligence and automation, legislative frameworks supporting digital transformation, and lessons learned from EU-funded projects. Participants further explored emerging cybersecurity challenges, digital resilience, and issues of European and national digital sovereignty, including cloud strategies.
The meeting highlighted strong potential for future collaboration at the European level, particularly in areas such as interoperability, digital identity, AI infrastructures, and ecosystem development. Synergies with initiatives such as the PHAROS AI Factory and potential engagement in EUDIW were also discussed.
GRNET remains committed to strengthening international partnerships and advancing secure, interoperable, and citizen-oriented digital services across Europe.
