DIAVLOS is GRNET’s live web streaming service. DIAVLOS provides access to live digital webcasts of lectures, seminars, artistic and other events organized or hosted by cultural  by cultural, educational and research institutions.

Diavlos is primarily addressed to all members of the Greek research and academic community, and covers events held by institutions that have signed memorandum of cooperation with GRNET for the provision and distribution of audiovisual content.

Through the use of the modern network infrastructure of the new generation backbone network of GRNET and its interconnected institutions, the high added value digital audiovisual content produced within these institutions reaches the end viewers live and in high. Viewers can watch the event remotely on their desktop or they can use smart mobile devices (eg ‘smart’ mobile phones, laptops and tablets).
