The WE BUILD project aims to develop a set of specific use cases for the European Union Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet). The use cases concern payments that natural persons will be able to make using the wallet and specific uses that legal persons will be able to make through the wallet.

The role of GRNET concerns:

• Participation in technical work on the standards to be used in the EUDI Wallet
• Coordination of work on the use of the EUDI Wallet in the travel industry (transport, hotels, etc.) and for specific population groups (such as students).

More specifically, GRNET will participate in work related to the use of the wallet by legal entities, its use for payments, and the technologies and architecture that wallets should implement in order to support the project's use cases.

More than 180 organizations from around 30 countries are participating in the project, including 13 National Business Registers, tax authorities, banks & financial institutions, wallet providers & QTSPs, technology companies and SMEs, and academic/research institutions.

The project is coordinated by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kamer Van Koophandel).
