The aim of the project "PETRUS EuroQCI Coordination and Support Action" is to to coordinate the developments and results of national QCI projects and to prepare for the development of a large-scale QKD testing infrastructure and certification.
The project will assess the compliance of different European Union technologies with the aim to subsequently integrate them into EuroQCI. As a benefit, the project will contribute to European technological autonomy in the highly strategic area of quantum communication technologies.
The main role of GRNET, which is participating in the project as a subcontractor of the Coordinating Body Deutsche Telekom Global Business Solutions Belgium NV (DTGBS), is to provide expertise in the QKD architecture of the Satellite and terrestrial sector for EuroQCI and the needs of the project.
