“OpenAIRE-Nexus Scholarly Communication Services for EOSC users” brings in Europe a set of services to implement and accelerate Open Science. These services will define a common Open Science interoperability framework for the EOSC, to facilitate sharing, monitoring, and discovery of EOSC resources across disciplines.
The main objectives of the project are the following::
- Empower researchers and research communities to systematically publish in EOSC using open science practices by default.
- Enable cross-disciplinary, research-driven discovery of research outcomes.
- Encourage an open rewards and incentives mechanism to incentivize open science practices for all by enabling funders and institutions to monitor their policies and investments.
- Invest on the sustainable growth of an open scholarly communication infrastructure by bringing it in the heart of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
Under the project, GRNET (linked third party to Athena Research and Innovation Center in Information Communication & Knowledge Technologies) offers and continuously improves OpenAIRE AAI services. More specifically, GRNET’s contribution enables OpenAIRE Service Providers to deliver services and offer access to resources to research communities and individual researchers, allowing users to use their institutional and community – enabled digital identities.
