The “MyHealth@MyHands” project (Person-centered health management through access to their health data using EUDI Wallet services), aims to ensure immediate access for patients to their health records, as part of the Digital Decade Policy Program for universal access to electronic health records by 2030.

The benefits of the project's results are crucial to the primary objective of the European Health Union, which is to ensure high-quality health data and services across the EU.

The MyHealth@MyHands project focuses on creating a knowledge hub to promote a collaborative community, integrating the EU digital identity wallet and ensuring that the project is in line with EU health data policies and regulatory frameworks.

The project utilizes blockchain to enable secure, user-controlled access to health data across the EU, making health records interoperable and enhancing patient empowerment by providing a single, consent-driven access point to their stored data.

As a result, the project not only meets technical requirements, but is also expected to support ethical, legal, and social standards.

The role of GRNET in the project concerns the:

• Development of the main infrastructure to support the health data ecosystem and cross-border data exchange
• Check and integration of individual data elements and design of the citizen interface.

In addition, GRNET will also contribute to the management of the project.

The project consortium consists of 46 partners or affiliated entities from 19 European countries, including 4 associated partners without a budget. More specifically, the consortium includes the following:

The project is funded by Digital Europe: Supporting patients’ access to their health data in the context of healthcare services for citizens across the EU, with 50% of the funding coming from the European Commission and 50% from the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence.
