Duration
01/04/2026 - 31/03/2029
Description

The “EUNOMIA-AI” project aims to leverage Artificial Intelligence in the public sector, focusing specifically on promoting the use of Generative AI.

This objective will be achieved through the development and promotion of language models and applications that support specific use cases based on four key areas. The use cases will be selected by organizations from different European Union countries and focus on the following areas:

  • Public Sector Processes
  • Utilization of Legal Materials
  • Digital Assistants
  • Multimodal Automation

Through the implementation of the project, common elements will be identified in the Large Language Models (LLMs) to be used, as well as in the end applications that will utilize these models, with the aim of optimizing their implementation in the selected use cases.

The models will be trained on infrastructure to be procured as part of the project and managed by the University of Granada (Universidad de Granada).

The public entities participating in the consortium will evaluate the use cases in pilot applications, thereby enabling the project to make a significant contribution to the digital transformation of the public sector by promoting the use of modern artificial intelligence technologies in public administration.

GRNET will lead the following actions:

Development, Integration, and Standardization: Design, training, optimization, and development of models and applications

Communication, Dissemination, and Engagement: Project communication and dissemination activities, collaboration with partners and other stakeholders

Furthermore, GRNET will participate in the following activities:

  • Project Management and Coordination
  • Use Cases and Piloting, where the developed solutions will be evaluated in realistic scenarios with the participating organizations.

The project is funded 50% by the European Committee and 50% by National (Greek) resources.
