AMALTHEIA: Design, development, operation and support of the Information System for the payment of emergency financial assistance to professional livestock farmers established in island regions
The aim of the project concerns the creation of a special application of the Single Digital Portal of the Public Administration (gov.gr) by GRNET, which allows natural persons who are tax residents of Greece, mainly livestock farmers, so that, provided they meet the relevant conditions, they can receive the corresponding emergency financial support..
More specifically, the scope of the project undertaken by GRNET concerns the design, technical implementation and operational support of the Information System for the provision of emergency financial assistance, paid in a one-time payment, to compensate for part of the identified increase in the cost of feed supply.
This action is intended to contribute to the fulfilment of the specific public policy development objectives defined in the National Strategy for Integrated Maritime Policy in the Insular Area, and to align the objectives of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy with the international adverse developments of the war in Ukraine and the ensuing energy crisis, the adverse consequences of which continue to exist and affect the livestock sector in the year 2023.
At the same time, the implementation of the project includes all the activities of coordination of the parties involved, requirements analysis, collection of specifications, operational day-to-day operation as well as effective support and assistance to the individual categories of users (beneficiaries, management bodies, control bodies, etc.).
As a benefit of the action, all the above actions contribute to enable the smooth payment of the emergency financial assistance to the beneficiary islanders in the most efficient way.
The project is implemented by GRNET in cooperation with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy in the framework of the objectives of the National Strategy for Integrated Maritime Policy in the Insular Area.
