TNC23 successfully took place in Tirana from 5-9 June 2023, organized by GÉANT and hosted by RASH, the National Research and Education Network of Albania.
GRNET, serving as Greece’s NREN, participated in the the largest research and education networking conference with:
- Panos Louridas, together with GÉANT’s Monique Pellinkhof, presenting “Greece in the Cloud” session on June 6th, during which GRNET and GÉANT presented on the joint journey towards the procurement and use of public as well as private Cloud Services.
- Andreas Kozadinos with “RCIAM Federation Registry: gateway for managing services for research communities” demonstration on June 6th, presenting how a service owner can submit requests for registering, reconfiguring and deregistering their service independently from the authentication protocol of RCIAM, while using the NI4OS-Europe environment as an example.
- Ilias Papastamatiou and PSNC’s Piotr Rydlichowski, with “Quantum Internet Activities in European NRENs” presentation on June 8th, providing an overview of Quantum Internet-related activities, including the national scale deployments of quantum communications systems and networks in European NRENs and the GÉANT Network Development project. GRNET is the coordinator of HellasQCI project, aiming to deploy advanced national QCI systems and networks in Greece, as part of the EuroQCI initiative.
