The Greek Point of Single Contact (PSC) “EUGO” is the central point of contact for Greek and European citizens as well as for businesses that provide their services in Greece. It provides, easily and quickly, information regarding the regulatory framework, the procedures, the costs and applications that must be submitted to the competent bodies for the establishment of a business in Greece or for the provision of services across borders.
EUGO is part of the digital strategy for providing e-services by public administrative systems. It draws real-time information from the National Registry of Administrative Public Services “MITOS” of the Greek Public Sector which is the single point of reference for all administrative procedures of the state.
Through these services, the citizen is able to be informed, to apply and receive certificates and to complete transactions successfully. This is achieved electronically either by the citizen himself/herself, in case he/she is a digitally literate user, or through the Citizen Service Center (CSC).
The EUGO implementation is part of the modernization of CSCs project that includes the development of an operational support data-processing system (back-office) of Customer Service Centers (CSCs). This system can be interconnected with other public administrative systems and provide access to CSC services that cannot be accomplished though the single digital portal of Gov.gr.
EUGO was designed and implemented by the General Secretariat of Digital Governance and Simplification of Procedures within the European Commission's “Interoperable Europe” program framework, in cooperation with the National Infrastructures for Research and Technology (GRNET). It is funded by the “Good Governance, Accountable Institutions, Transparency” Program of the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
