GRNET actively participated in the EUDI Wallets Launchpad 2025, held on 10–12 December 2025 in Brussels, an event organised by the European Commission (EC), contributing to the collective European effort to develop and implement the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet).
Representatives of GRNET, acting in coordination and providing technical leadership within the European project Aptitude, took part in the Launchpad activities at both European and national levels, strengthening cooperation among Member States, technology providers, and public administrations.
During the event, Panos Louridas, Head of the Research and Development Directorate, and Giorgos Fourtounis, Technical Leader for Wallet Implementation at GRNET, presented the capabilities and architecture of the National Digital Identity Wallet, Gov.gr Wallet, highlighting Greece’s contribution to the development of reliable and interoperable digital identity solutions.
The programme focused on extensive interoperability testing, in-depth technical analyses, and live demonstrations by Member States and pilot projects, showcasing how different wallet solutions operate in real-life use cases.
In parallel, Artemis Psarianou, Head of the Marketing & Communications Department at GRNET, actively participated in specialised workshops on communication and user experience, where strategies and best practices were presented and discussed regarding the effective introduction of the Digital Identity Wallet to citizens, as well as to the public and private sectors, across Europe.
Through the Aptitude project GRNET actively supports testing, collaboration, and co-creation efforts towards a secure, interoperable, and user-centric European Digital Identity Wallet (#EUDIW), reinforcing trust and functionality in Europe’s digital public services.
