GRNET participates at AWS Day Powered by Logicom, which will take place on Tuesday 19th of November, 2024 at the Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Center, Antigone Hall.

Politis, Solutions Architect at PCG will present the session “Streamlining Academic Cloud Infrastructure Administration: AWS-Driven User Management Solutions for GRNET.”

In this presentation we will explore how GRNET, Greece’s National Research and Technology Infrastructure provider, partnered with PCG to implement AWS solutions for managing educational and research cloud resources. The case study details their innovative approach to three key challenges: secure resource isolation for students, automated infrastructure deployment using Terraform, and precise cost tracking across educational institutions. The implemented solution demonstrates how AWS services can be leveraged to create a secure, efficient, and free of cost provided by GRNET, cloud infrastructure for academic and research environments, offering valuable insights for similar educational implementations.
