The European Public Sector Award (EPSA) is a Europe-wide award scheme for public sector entities at all levels of government which has been organised every two years since 2009 by the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA). In addition to the winners and Good Practice Certificate recipients, evaluators also identified projects with outstanding efforts toward change. “MITOS” implemented by the National Infrastructures for Research and Technology (GRNET) that is supervised by Greek Ministry of Digital Governance, operating under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of the Interior, is one of the three projects that received the special EPSA recognition this year.
The European Public Sector Award Ceremony 2023-24 took place in Maastricht, the Netherlands on Thursday 21st of March, under the theme “Boosting Innovation Through Learning”. EPSA aims to showcase and reward the most innovative projects submitted by public administrations across Europe.
- Karounos, member of the Directorate of Digital Transformation and Digital Skills, received the recognition award on behalf of GRNET (Ministry of Digital Governance). On behalf of the Ministry of Interior, the competent organization for the project, the General Director for Administrative Procedures in the Public Sector, A. Makrygianni was present at the Ceremony to receive the award.
