Climate Resilient Development Pathways in Metropolitan Regions of Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21486 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/grnet.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Carmine-banner-2-1024x215.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"202\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The aim of the CARMINE project is to help European metropolitan communities become more resilient to climate change by co-creating tools, strategies, and plans based on scientific knowledge to strengthen adaptation and mitigation actions, in line with the EU&#8217;s mission on Adaptation to Climate Change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The main benefits of the project include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">Improved resilience of cities to extreme climate events.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Decision support services based on impacts and multi-level climate governance.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Strengthened cooperation between local and regional actors for policy-making.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Development and implementation of both traditional and nature-based solutions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Scientifically documented methodologies for adaptation plans at the local level.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Enhanced preparedness through early warning and risk management systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">GRNET, as an affiliated entity of the Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, undertakes:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">End-user and policy maker role, contributing to the formulation of objectives and results.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Support for the &#8220;climate twins&#8221; in the project.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Participation in and strengthening of the MedEWSa ecosystem.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Actions to disseminate and communicate the project results.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Participation in all relevant actions and tasks as specified in the Grant Agreement and in partner meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">In particular, GRNET will contribute to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">the creation and organization of &#8220;Living Labs&#8221;
