{"id":16133,"date":"2022-12-01T08:44:04","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T08:44:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grnet.gr\/business-directory\/epektash-academicid\/"},"modified":"2024-01-29T09:53:45","modified_gmt":"2024-01-29T09:53:45","slug":"expansion-academic-identity-card","status":"publish","type":"wpbdp_listing","link":"https:\/\/grnet.gr\/en\/business-directory\/expansion-academic-identity-card\/","title":{"rendered":"Expansion of the electronic service for obtaining Academic Identity Card"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-16147 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/grnet.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/BANNER_EN4-1024x114.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"107\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The project &#8220;Expansion of the Electronic Service for obtaining an Academic Identity Card&#8221; aims at expanding the existing <a href=\"https:\/\/grnet.gr\/services\/digital-services\/academic-id\/\">Academic Identity Card service<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The main objectives of the project are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to upgrade the electronic service whereby students of all levels and members of the educational, research and administrative staff of universities and research institutions may obtain the Academic Identity Card<\/li>\n<li>to upgrade the card for students, professors, researchers and administrative staff.<\/li>\n<li>to interconnect the Academic Identity Card system with the Public and Private Bus Transportation Companies (OASA and KTEL respectively), so that students can travel with a reduced fare when using their academic identity card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More specifically, the project includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the replacement of students&#8217; academic identity cards with new ones that feature an embedded brick, so that they can be used in controlled access services, electronic ticket services, etc.<\/li>\n<li>the replacement of the staff&#8217;s academic ID cards with new ones that will encompass a brick of modern technology so that they can be used to store approved digital certificates<\/li>\n<li>the upgrade of the service information infrastructure and support for the mobile devices access<\/li>\n<li>the ability to insert the identity card into a digital wallet and use it in relevant applications as equivalent to a hard copy identity card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon the completion of the project, the online Academic Identity Card service will become more user-friendly for the members of the academic and research community, facilitating their daily activities.
