{"id":22916,"date":"2026-05-21T11:33:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T08:33:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grnet.gr\/?p=22916"},"modified":"2026-05-21T11:35:34","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T08:35:34","slug":"grnet-participation-at-spay-forum-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grnet.gr\/en\/2026\/05\/21\/grnet-participation-at-spay-forum-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"GRNET Participation at SPAY Forum 2026, 12th-13th of May"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stefanos Kollias, GRNET Chairman and Professor Emeritus, NTUA, participated in the SPAY Forum 2026, which took place on May 12 and 13, 2026, at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The SPAY Forum 2026 brought together representatives from the government, local government, the scientific community, and civil protection organizations, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and best practices on issues of resilience, sustainable development, and environmental protection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr. Kollias participated in the panel discussion titled \u201cArtificial Intelligence &amp; Environmental Protection: The Digital Ally of Mount Hymettus,\u201d which focused on the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in strengthening environmental protection and civil protection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During his presentation at the SPAY Forum 2026, Stefanos Kollias highlighted the role of new national digital infrastructure in strengthening civil protection and environmental management through artificial intelligence applications.
