Participants will learn fundamental concepts of High-Performance Computing (HPC), with a focus on shared and distributed memory parallelism. The course covers the open-source workload manager and job scheduler SLURM (Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management), OpenMP for shared memory parallelism, and MPI for distributed memory computing, introducing both single-node and multi-node parallel techniques, respectively. Additionally, participants will gain insights into accessing Greek and European supercomputers for research and development.
