PHAROS: The Greek AI Factory<\/a>, a project coordinated by\u00a0GRNET<\/a><\/span>, participated in <\/span>Athens Digital Health Week 2026<\/span><\/a>, held on <\/span>16-20 February 2026<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

S. Kollias,<\/b> Professor Emeritus at the National Technical University of Athens<\/b>, Chairman of GRNET and <\/span>Coordinator of PHAROS AI Factory <\/b>participated in the round table discussion <\/span>\u201cSupport Frameworks for the Greek Healthcare Innovation Ecosystem.\u201d<\/span><\/i> During the discussion, he highlighted the contribution of PHAROS and its core computing platform, new high-performance supercomputer DAEDALUS, both coordinated by GRNET, to advancing the use of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare by providing integrated access to advanced computing resources, state-of-the-art AI tools, large-scale and securely anonymised data, and specialised expertise. Through these initiatives, GRNET further strengthens its strategic role in promoting digital health innovation and AI-enabled healthcare systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Athens Digital Health Week is recognised as a leading European event, bringing together experts, innovators and decision-makers to address critical challenges and showcase advancements shaping the future of digital health across Europe and beyond. The 2026 edition, co-organised by <\/span>IDIKA<\/span><\/a> Single Member S.A.<\/span> -the Hellenic eGovernment Center for Health and Social Security-, the <\/span>National eHealth Authority (NeHA) of Cyprus<\/span><\/a>, -and <\/span>HL7 Hellas<\/span><\/a>, featured a comprehensive five-day programme of high-level plenary sessions, workshops and focused working groups covering key priorities such as digital health policy, the European Health Data Space, interoperability, Artificial Intelligence and innovation ecosystems.<\/span><\/p>\n
