On 29 October 2025, <\/span>PHAROS: The Greek AI Factory<\/span><\/a>, a project coordinated by <\/span>GRNET<\/span><\/a>, held the first \u201c<\/span>AI Ecosystem Engagement Meet Up: Sustainability Sector<\/b><\/a>\u201d at the<\/span> NCSR Demokritos<\/span><\/a> Main Auditorium. This knowledge-sharing Meet Up brought together representatives from academia, industry, and the public sector to exchange best practices, insights, and perspectives on the Greek Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem, with a dedicated focus on <\/span>sustainability <\/b>(<\/span>energy, environment, and climate<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n

The day\u2019s Agenda<\/span>\u00a0was divided into two distinct parts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>first part<\/b>, held in the morning (10:00\u201313:30) and open to academia and the wider industry, featured a General Session that brought together <\/span>over 100 participants<\/b>. The session highlighted the challenges and opportunities shaping the Greek AI ecosystem and showcased the latest developments that the PHAROS: The Greek AI Factory project was advancing for Greece within the EU context.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>second part<\/b> – the Sustainability Workshop <\/b>(14:30\u201316:00) – was by invitation only and attended by <\/span>more than 30 representatives<\/b> from companies active in the sustainability sector, fostering focused and impactful discussions on AI applications in the field.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Through this Ecosystem Engagement Meet Up, the PHAROS AI Factory Project sought valuable contributions to refine its platform and services, prioritising sustainability-focused (energy, environment & climate) solutions and shaping a framework for future collaboration with companies.<\/span><\/p>\n
