GRNET hosted the hybrid inaugural technical control meeting for GovTech4all Pilot 1 on November 4th and 5th at its premises in Athens. Over the course of two days, partners GRNET, <\/span>LANTI\u039a<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>DINUM<\/span><\/a>, worked together to plan the next steps of the pilot, detail the work to be undertaken, and finalize specific items for development, integration and demonstration.<\/span><\/p>\n

The primary objective of Pilot 1, \u201cSecure Information in Cross-Border Data Spaces\u201d, is to tackle the technical challenges faced by public sector organizations that require cross-border coordination to provide high-quality services to citizens. These organizations need robust mechanisms for securely collecting and sharing sensitive personal information while ensuring the protection of citizens\u2019 privacy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants focused on analyzing the use cases for Pilot 1, examined functionality and the effective use of the project outcomes, as well as discussed the methods for demonstrating these outcomes. Additionally, they gained a deeper understanding of the architectural requirements of these use cases and their associated datasets. The planning and structure of the relative deliverables was also discussed.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the second day, building on the outcomes from the first day\u2019s sessions, discussions shifted toward the dissemination and exploitation of the pilot. This included strategies for enhancing user engagement, fostering collaboration with other projects, and organizing demo days and a concluding event. Sustainability, along with legal and ethical requirements, was addressed.<\/span><\/p>\n

GovTech4all has established its control meeting points as on-site working sessions, bringing together all team members at each partner\u2019s organization to assess the current status and quality of implementations at various stages of development and testing. These meetings are crucial for evaluating whether the pilot is progressing as intended and for identifying any necessary adjustments to achieve our ultimate goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>GovTech4All<\/span><\/a> project is a European initiative designed to foster a cohesive GovTech ecosystem across multiple countries. Funded by the Digital Europe Programme, it unites 26 organizations (soon to be 29) from 18 countries (soon to be 20) to innovate and improve public sector technology.<\/span><\/p>\n
