The declaration recognises the strategic importance of quantum technologies for the scientific and industrial competitiveness of the EU.<\/p>\n<p>11 Member States have endorsed the declaration (with the anticipation for more Members to join) and have pledged to work together with the Commission on a number of key areas, including coordination of European, national regional research and development programmes, accelerating the transition from lab to fab, building pan-European quantum infrastructures, including the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (<a href=\"https:\/\/digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu\/en\/policies\/european-quantum-communication-infrastructure-euroqci\">EuroQCI<\/a>) Initiative.
