Board of Directors<\/span><\/h4>\n

GRNET Board of Directors is the supreme governing body that decides on strategic management matters, except issues that lie in the exclusive competence of the General Assembly. The Board mainly sets the strategies and policies for GRNET development, seeks and ensures key funding sources, supervises and manages the company\u2019s assets. It also promotes the national and European dimension of GRNET. The Board consists of nine members and its mandate is four years.<\/p>\n

Chairman of the Board<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Chairman of the Board\u00a0represents the company in Greece and abroad, in Greek, European or International Organizations of any kind. He is responsible for the meetings of the Board of Directors and coordinates\u00a0its activities.<\/p>\n

Deputy Chairman<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Deputy Chairman of the Board shall deputize for the Chairman when the latter is absent for any reason or indisposed.<\/p>\n

CEO<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Chief Executive Officer is the company’s senior executive. He manages\u00a0the company overall\u00a0activity, monitors its operation, informs the Board of Directors, and heads its staff.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Advisory Committee<\/span><\/h4>\n

GRNET\u00a0Advisory Committee is the supreme scientific body that is responsible for\u00a0 issues in the fields of research and technology. Its members are composed of the educational and research community of universities and research centers, possessing many years of experience and contribution to GRNET fields of activity. The\u00a0Advisory Committee is independent in its action and operation. It is also\u00a0responsible for assessing the overall work of\u00a0GRNET.<\/p><\/div><\/div>
